Silk Painting

A backlit fresco painted on silk, measuring twenty-five meters in a single roll, combines family testimonials, stories from deaf people, and texts by CODAs Lennard J. Davis and Véronique Poulain. It was exhibited at the French Institute in Berlin with curator Lisa Colin and at the Chartreuse monastery of Villeneuve-Lès-Avignon.

It has given rise to a video co-created with Danièle Le Moënner, Arthur Gillet’s mother, commenting on the fresco in French Sign Language.
